Free Testing

• Results in about 20 minutes

• Available in the Oklahoma City office Monday through Thursday 9:00 am to 3:30 pm

• Only blood spot testing is available on Friday until noon and results are available in two weeks.

Confidential

• Test result is given to you only, unless otherwise noted by the person being tested.
• If your test is positive, the result will be given to Disease Intervention Specialists (DIS) at the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH).
• All demographic information stays confidential within RAIN and DIS.  Names and test results are never released to any other information source.

Anonymous

• Test result is given to you only, unless otherwise noted by the person being tested.
• You are assigned a test number and no demographic information is given.
• No positive results are reported to DIS.

Rapid (finger stick or mouth swab)

• Type of Antibody test
• Results take 20 minutes or less
• No paper documentation of results given to person tested

Conventional

• Type of Antibody test
• Blood taken from a finger stick in office is taken to a lab for testing
• Results take 2 weeks
• Paper documentation of results given to person tested if desired

What Is Anti-Body Testing?

• Looks for HIV antibodies in your body
• If antibodies specific to HIV are found, you have HIV
